The Hammers striker says he will be “out for a while” as per an Instagram story post. Fans have expressed mixed opinions over his sidelining.

West Ham had to deal their fans bad news on Wednesday in the shape of Marko Arnautovic being sidelined.
The bustling striker was forced off during the first half of Tuesday night’s 3-1 Premier League win over Cardiff.
Many supporters were sweating over the fitness of the Austrian – who has scored five goals this season – for much of the day.
The club then posted a screenshot of Arnautovic’s Instagram story on their Twitter in which he says he “will be out for a while”.
According to Sky Sports News, Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini is set to hold a pre-match press conference on Thursday ahead of the weekend fixture against Crystal Palace.
In this presser, the Chilean is expected to reveal more on Arnautovic’s expected layoff, but the Evening Standard has reported that he will miss the festive period.
Following West Ham’s Twitter post, some fans expressed their sadness at seeing one of their key players potentially ruled out for a long time:
Some, however, sought to look on the bright side:
Pellegrini will be hoping that Arnautovic’s fellow strikers Javier Hernandez and Lucas Perez, who have both scored twice over the last two games, will continue their rich vein of form in the Austrian’s absence.
