The £15 million West Ham United striker was involved in Cardiff City’s consolation.

Andy Carroll got another 26 minutes under his belt as West Ham United beat Cardiff City 3-1 on Tuesday.
The injury-plagued West Ham striker was making only his second appearance of the campaign after undergoing knee surgery.
A bit of ring rust was therefore expected, and Carroll’s failed clearance in the lead up to Cardiff’s stoppage-time consolation is evidence perhaps that the 29-year-old is not quite up to speed.
But some West Ham fans aren’t prepared to be quite so lenient it seems.
This is what they’re saying about Carroll’s latest London Stadium cameo…
West Ham ran out comfortable winners against Cardiff, who had a chance to alter the course of the game through a Joe Ralls penalty, which was saved by Lukasz Fabianski before the break.
And the Hammers were rampant after it, with goals from Lucas Perez (two) and Michail Antonio putting the hosts 3-0 ahead before Josh Murphy’s strike blotted their clean sheet.

Does Andy Carroll still have a part to play in Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham United team?
