West Ham United fans have been ripping into Adrian on Twitter, and for good reason.

West Ham United fans on Twitter are slaughtering goalkeeper Adrian for his shambolic performance on Saturday.

The Irons were dumped out of the FA Cup following a 4-2 defeat at AFC Wimbledon.

Adrian, who earns £40,000 per week with the Hammers [Spotrac], was only majorly responsible for the fourth goal West Ham conceded, but the Spanish keeper looked a shadow of his former self for the full 90 minutes.

In addition to flapping at a number of crosses, the 32-year-old’s distribution and decision making were horrendous on the night.

And here’s how fans of the East London club reacted to his display.

In Adrian’s defence, rust was inevitable. This was only his second appearance for West Ham since October, having lost his first-choice place to Lukasz Fabianski when Manuel Pellegrini came in.

But it was still an unacceptable performance and one which should make Pellegrini seriously consider replacing him when the summer transfer window opens.

Fabianski has been great since joining from Swansea, but the Pole needs better competition and, frankly, Adrian isn’t the man to provide it.
