West Ham United fans were incredibly impressed by Aaron Mooy, who has previously been linked with a move to the London Stadium.

A number of West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to laud Aaron Mooy and suggest that Manuel Pellegrini should make a move for the Huddersfield Town midfielder following his stunning display in Australia’s World Cup opener with France.
After a goalless first-half, there were a number of talking points to emerge after the break with VAR awarding France a penalty that appeared to be extremely harsh on their opponents, while goalline technology was needed to give the winning goal for the side that lifted the trophy back in 1998.

The Australians gave a superb account of themselves and were rewarded at one stage when Aston Villa’s Mile Jedinak equalised from the penalty spot after a ridiculous handball.
One of the best players on the park was arguably Mooy, who played a crucial role in the Terriers keeping themselves in the Premier League last season. The 27-year-old was excellent in the middle of the park alongside Jedinak, often providing the most dangerous crosses into the box and overshadowing Paul Pogba for much of the contest.

The Times reported in May that West Ham were leading the chase to sign Mooy from Huddersfield one year after his £10 million permanent arrival, and it appears that a number of Hammers supporters would certainly not mind Manuel Pellegrini urging the club to make a bid when he returns from Russia.
West Ham arguably need to improve their midfield options this summer, and a move for Mooy would seemingly be a popular decision amongst the fans based on their reaction to his performance in the defeat.
Here is the best of the reaction…
