West Ham United beat Burnley 4-2 on Saturday afternoon.

West Ham United got back to winning ways on Saturday afternoon as they beat Burnley 4-2 at the London Stadium, after losing 3-1 to Spurs in midweek in the Carabao Cup.
The Hammers were favourites to claim all three points against Burnley, and they took an early lead as Marko Arnautovic pounced on slack defending by James Tarkowski to slide West Ham in front.
Winger Johann Berg Gudmundsson equalised for the Clarets on the stroke of half time, before Anderson scored twice, either side of Chris Wood making it 2-2 for Burnley with a powerful header.
Javier Hernandez rounded off the scoring late on from Michail Antonio’s assist, with West Ham claiming a significant victory to get back on track, having dropped two points in the dying embers against Leicester City last week.
With big-money signing Felipe Anderson starring alongside a rejuvenated Robert Snodgrass and homegrown winger Grady Diangana, there was plenty for West Ham fans to shout about.
However, many of them instead couldn’t agree on the performance of left back Aaron Cresswell, who came in for Arthur Masuaku in a display which divided opinion.

Some felt that Cresswell proved he is West Ham’s best left back and silenced his critics with a solid performance against Burnley, feeling that he helps get the best out of Anderson and ultimately put himself ahead of Masuaku with his display.
Others weren’t quite so convinced though, suggesting that Cresswell is a liability and offers nothing, with a real split in opinion on the 28-year-old’s performance on Saturday afternoon.
