#WeveGotPayet
West Ham United fans had just three words on Twitter to describe their 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
They may as well use them to describe their whole team, season, training ground, stadium and club…
The three words, of course, are #WeveGotPayet, a now famous hashtag on Twitter – and not just among West Ham fans.
The Hammers faithful were understandably delighted with the 28-year-old Frenchman on social media, after he scored one of the best free-kicks supporters will remember against Manchester United.
It adds to the long list of Payet free-kicks already scored this season and there just seems to be no limit to how high the playmaker can soar at Upton Park.
His goal almost secured a place at Wembley but, after Anthony Martial’s equaliser, it at least gives West Ham one more FA Cup game at the Boleyn Ground – their last before they move to the Olympic Stadium.
Here’s how West Ham fans reacted on Twitter to the 1-1 draw with Manchester United, watch out for the renamed hamster…!
