West Ham United lost 5-0 at home to Manchester City on Friday evening.

West Ham United crashed out of the FA Cup in the Third Round on Friday evening, as they were trashed 5-0 at the London Stadium by Manchester City.

The Hammers were looking to bounce back from a 2-0 home defeat to Manchester United by beating their city rivals in the FA Cup, but Slaven Bilic’s men were on the receiving end of a thumping.

A Yaya Toure penalty followed by an own goal from Havard Nordtveit and a close range strike from David Silva had City coasting at 3-0 up by half time, before Sergio Aguero and John Stones added goals in the second half.

It was yet another miserable evening for West Ham in their new home, but it all could have been so different had Sofiane Feghouli equalised at 1-0 down when he turned the ball wide from a couple of yards out, after Michail Antonio’s shot had been parried.

Feghouli struggled to get back into the game after that miss, and his display summed up his time at West Ham so far, as he’s failed to impress since a summer move from Valencia, with the 27-year-old registering just one goal and one assist from 15 appearances.

Reports from Gazzetta Dello Sport claim that Feghouli could be on his way to Roma in the near future, and if Friday night was his final appearance for the Hammers, fans seemingly won’t be too upset to see him leave.

Supporters took to Twitter to joke that West Ham would’ve been better off with Feghouli suspended, after he was sent off against Manchester United only to have his ban overturned, and suggested that having been such a poor signing, his time with the club should be over.

Others compared him to former West Ham flops Benni McCarthy, Savio Nsereko, Pablo Barrera and Nene, whilst even suggesting that Enner Valencia – currently on loan at Everton – is better than Feghouli.
