West Ham United striker Lucas Perez was a Manuel Pellegrini summer signing, but he has struggled to cement himself into the starting XI.

West Ham fans on Twitter would be happy to see the back of striker Lucas Perez amid speculation that he wants to leave the club before the January transfer window shuts.
The Daily Mail claim that the 30-year-old wants to return to his homeland of Spain and join La Liga outfit Real Betis with the winter window set to close on Thursday.
The Hammers signed Perez during the summer from Premier League rivals Arsenal, but since his move to the London Stadium, he has struggled for regular game time and form.
Therefore, it is no surprise to see that a number of West Ham supporters on Twitter would be more than happy to see the back of the experienced attacker.
Many supporters on social media echoed each others words by saying ‘goodbye’ to the summer signing and that they would more than happily book him a taxi.
While another fan claimed that winger Anderson will be ‘next’ to depart the east London outfit, but judging by the reactions of the Upton Park faithful, they haven’t liked what they have seen from him since his arrival.
Here is a selection of West Ham fans reacting on Twitter to the Perez speculation:
Over the course of the season, Perez has played 14 games in all competitions, scoring five goals, but he has only found the back of the net in the Premier League on two occasions, according to transfermarkt.
He was part of team that were beaten by League One side AFC Wimbledon at the weekend as Pellegrini’s side crashed out of the FA Cup in spectacular fashion.
