David Moyes won his first point as West Ham United boss as they drew 1-1 with Leicester City.

Judging by what the West Ham fans have been on saying on Twitter in the wake of the Hammers’ draw with Leicester on Friday night, there appears to be a sense of optimism that the one player who looks set to benefit David Moyes’ appointment at the London Stadium the most is Marko Arnautovic.
The club record signing had endured a largely miserable time since arriving from Stoke City – and there had even been reports from the Daily Mirror earlier this month that Moyes had been given permission to sell the Austria international during the January transfer window.
However, his performance in the defeat to Watford seemed to leave some fans with reason with cautious positivity, but also with frustration in equal measure as he suffered an injury that left some concerned about how long he may be sidelined for.
He was back for the first home game of the Moyes era – albeit, with a large cast on his arm to protect his thumb – and the Irons may well have been grateful for his involvement as it was arguably the forward’s best performance for the club to date.

Arnautovic showed the kind of energy down the right flank that the long-suffering West Ham supporters had been craving all along, not only looking threatening going forward – some of his crosses asked a number of questions of the away side – but also offering support to the defence.
Leicester’s counter attacks often caused problems, but Arnautovic was often seen tracking back to try and help keep the likes of Riyad Mahrez and Demarai Gray quiet. And while he did not see out the game, his display was given a lot of praise by the supporters on social media.
