Marko Arnautovic’s West Ham United future has been thrown into doubt by his agent.
A number of West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to respond to comments made by Marko Arnautovic’s agent and brother to Gianluca Di Marzio which have thrown the striker’s Hammers future into serious doubt.
Arnautovic has established himself as the key man in Manuel Pellegrini’s side, scoring 16 Premier League goals since the start of last December, including five at the start of this campaign.
He has been lauded by the Irons supporters, but it appears that that relationship with the fans could now be damaged significantly after comments made by his agent.
Danijel Arnautovic has told Gianluca Di Marzio that the striker is ready to take the next step in his career – seemingly putting any interested clubs on notice ahead of the January transfer window.
Interestingly, the reaction amongst several of the West Ham fans seems to be divided at this stage. Many are hugely disappointed that their talisman is apparently keen to move on given how important he has become to the club over the last 12 months.
However, there are plenty who believe that the West Ham board should not stand in his way if they get a good offer and the Austrian is actually determined to leave. It certainly appears that his popularity will have taken a significant hit by the time he returns to the London Stadium after the international break.
