West Ham United have endured a tumultuous few days, and fans are far from happy with the message offered to them by captain Mark Noble today.
The Hammers were thrashed 3-0 by Burnley on Saturday afternoon, with Chris Wood’s brace condemning David Moyes’ men to a crushing defeat.
As if being dragged back towards the Premier League relegation zone wasn’t bad enough, the game has dominated conversation over recent days due to the behaviour of West Ham fans.
Fans staged pitch invasions and protests as they made their feelings towards owners David Gold and David Sullivan abundantly clear, with supporters desperate to see the duo leave.
Fans feels that they have been lied to over the move from Upton Park to the London Stadium, whilst performances on the pitch and poor recruitment have only added to the negative feeling in East London.
If West Ham are to beat the drop, then they can’t afford to let that feeling linger, and captain Mark Noble offered a message to fans today, attempting to rally them together whilst claiming he always strives to make the club the best it can be.
However, Noble’s message didn’t exactly appease fans, with many suggesting that Noble’s message was uninspiring and monotone, suggesting he can’t even get himself motivated, never mind the fans.
Others suggested that Noble needs to stop hiding on the pitch, criticising him for refusing to acknowledge that West Ham are now mired in a relegation battle until the end of the season.
