West Ham United star Manuel Lanzini could make his long-awaited return later this week.

West Ham fans are understandably jubilant on Twitter after Manuel Pellegrini suggested, in comments reported by Sky Sports, that Manuel Lanzini could be included in the squad for Friday’s clash with Fulham.
The Hammers fans are yet to see Lanzini in action this term, with Sky Sports reporting that he suffered a serious knee injury while he was training with Argentina’s national team in the weeks leading up to the 2018 World Cup.
The Sun reported shortly after Lanzini sustained the injury that he was going to miss the entire campaign. And while those fears seemed to be addressed quickly, Pellegrini’s latest comments will provide his squad with a huge boost.
As reported by Sky Sports, the Irons boss has confirmed that Lanzini could be in contention to be included in the squad that take on Fulham later this week along with Samir Nasri.

His return – if it comes in the next game – is definitely a timely boost for West Ham. The Hammers have lost three and drawn two of their last five games, and the pressure will be on to beat a Fulham side that are running out of time to keep themselves in the Premier League.
And unsurprisingly, the news that Lanzini is back has been met by a hugely positive reaction on social media, with the prospect of Lanzini and Felipe Anderson playing alongside each other leaving plenty of supporters excited for the coming weeks of the season.
