West Ham United fans have received some brilliant injury news.
A number of West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to express their excitement after Manuel Pellegrini confirmed, in comments reported by Football London, that Manuel Lanzini has returned to training.
Lanzini has not played since the final day of last season when he scored twice in a 3-1 win against Everton. Under Pellegrini, the Hammers have played some brilliant football at times, but he has still been missed.
The Argentinian has scored 19 goals and contributed 10 assists in the Premier League, and has often looked like the Irons’ most dangerous player.
And he appears to be closing in on a return to the side. In comments reported by Football London, Pellegrini confirmed that the attacking midfielder is back training.
Unsurprisingly, the fans are delighted about Pellegrini’s comments and Lanzini’s return. Despite the quality that they now boast in attack, the 25-year-old clearly improves their options.
And if he is capable of rediscovering his previous form upon his return, it could prove to be a seriously exciting end to the season for the West Ham supporters.
