West Ham United lost against Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.
West Ham United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Jose Fonte against Southampton this weekend.
Fonte featured for West Ham in the Premier League game against Southampton away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League.
The 33-year-old central defender started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Hammers lost 3-2.
The Portugal international centre-back joined the Hammers from Southampton in the January transfer window for a fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £8 million.
West Ham fans were not impressed with the performance of Fonte and have made their opinion of him clear on Twitter – some want him gone from the London Stadium.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at St. Mary’s Stadium on Saturday afternoon, hosts Southampton had 66% of the possession, took 14 shots of which five were on target, and earned seven corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors West Ham had just 34% of the possession, took 16 shots of which eight were on target, and earned two corners, according to BBC Sport.
