West Ham United have been linked with making a January move for Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen.

West Ham fans have been reacting on Twitter to the reports that recently came out of the Daily Mirror which suggested that David Moyes is looking to bring Stoke midfielder Joe Allen to the London Stadium during the January transfer window.
The Hammers go into 2018 inside the relegation zone in the Premier League after a poor start to the season. What will encourage Moyes however, is that they have recently beaten Chelsea and Stoke and drawn with Arsenal and Bournemouth – and were unfortunate to see the Cherries’ equaliser against them stand.

The Irons are only four points off 12th place in the division, and that arguably makes January an absolutely huge month for the club – and according to the Mirror, they are getting their targets identified ready for when the window opens.
The Mirror reports that Allen is one of the players who Moyes wants to sign. The Welshman has featured regularly for the Potters this term, scoring once and providing four assists for Mark Hughes’ men.

Interestingly, the reports have been met by a very mixed reaction amongst West Ham fans on social media, with many unconvinced that he is that much of an upgrade on what they already have available to them.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of supporters who believe that the 27-year-old has the quality to improve the Hammers squad if he did end up joining, and thus, they would like to see a deal take place.
Here is the best of the reaction…
