A number of West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from the Daily Mail suggesting that Javier Hernandez has handed in a transfer request to try and force through a move to Sevilla.

The 31-year-old featured in both of the Hammers’ first two Premier League games of this season, and scored the equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion.

Nevertheless, the Daily Mail reports that the Mexican is fearful that he is not going to play regularly with the Irons bringing Sebastien Haller to the London Stadium this summer, while Albian Ajeti also joined the club while the English window was open.

And the report suggests that he has now handed in a transfer request with an £8 million move to the La Liga side on the cards. It is suggested that Sevilla’s bid currently stands at £7 million.

And there are plenty of Hammers supporters now keen to see the former Manchester United man go in light of the reports suggesting that he is hoping to leave the club.
