West Ham linked star led Swansea to shock victory at Anfield.
As the transfer window enters it’s final fortnight, West Ham stand set to gain a potential windfall if they can sell wantaway winger Dimitri Payet for a big fee.
One of the players they have been linked with subsequently splashing out on is Iceland international Gylfi Sigurdsson, with French newspaper L’Equipe reporting their interest – and Swansea City’s £26 million asking price.
West Ham would only be able to act on that pending a Payet sale, but Sigurdsson continues to impress for Swansea, leading them to a stunning victory at the weekend.
Swansea City’s Gylfi Sigurdsson scores their third goal
The Swans have been struggling at the wrong end of the Premier League table, and their 3-2 win at Anfield over Liverpool was a result nobody saw coming.
Sigurdsson scored a dramatic late winner from open play, sliding in to convert from close range past goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
The 27-year-old set piece specialist has now scored six goals and provided six assists this season, an impressive feat so far in a relegation threatened side.
