The Frenchman admitted a desire to one day return to former club Marseille.
West Ham United star Dimitri Payet has again made comments on his future that will certainly concern fans at the London club.
The Frenchman was speaking to SFR Sport in France when he confirmed he would be tempted with a move back to his former club Marseille and that he would not be closing the door on any future potential move away from the club.
He stated, in quotes from the Mirror:
“I am not closing the door to anything.

“Marseille have a new project which seems interesting. Aside from that, we are obviously waiting to see the first few things that the new owners do, but Marseille knows how attached I am to the club.
“When I talk about it, I say the best possible things, because that is what I think, so why not.”

Payet has been a star at West Ham since his move from Marseille last summer but his form for the club and for the French national team at Euro 2016 has seen him linked with a move away from the Hammers. The likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid have been mooted as potential destinations – whilst he was also linked with a move to China in February.
It was at that point that he was handed a lucrative new deal to remain at West Ham for the future, but it appears he is open to an exit.

Some are quick to point out the impact that Payet has had at West Ham, whilst others feel nobody is bigger than the club and Payet should be sold if this is his attitude.
Either way a solution is needed in the weeks to come.
