West Ham United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the performances of Declan Rice and Reece Burke against Werder Bremen on Friday evening.
Premier League outfit West Ham took on German club Bremen in Scheverdingen in the first leg of the Betway Cup.
Both Rice and Burke operate as defenders, and the young duo, who are 18 and 20 respectively, featured for the Hammers in the game.
While Burke started the fixture and played for 60 minutes, Rice, who featured in a deep-lying midfield role, played for the entire 90 minutes, as Slaven Bilic’s side lost 1-0.

Both Rice and Burke are very young and inexperienced players, and it is hard to see either of them play regularly for the West Ham first team next season.
However, if the youngsters perform well for the youth teams, then they could get some valuable minutes in the cup games for Bilic’s side during the 2017-18 campaign.
