West Ham United fans don’t seem to care much about what David Gold revealed today.

Andy Carroll thanks the fans during a lap of honor after the Premier League match between West Ham United and Liverpool at London Stadium on May 14, 2017 in Stratford, England.

West Ham United co-owner David Gold has revealed on Twitter that he expects Andy Carroll to return from injury before the season finishes – but fans simply don’t care anymore.

The 29-year-old suffered a hairline fracture to his ankle last month and was subsequently ruled out for the rest of the Irons’ campaign.

That development forced Chelsea to explore other options amid intense speculation linking them with a shock move for the West Ham man, who has two goals in 12 Premier League games this season.

Those two goals came in his second-to-last game for United – a 2-1 win over West Brom – and it was hoped that Carroll would start to find some goalscoring form.

Gold, however, has revealed that the injury might not be as bad as first feared and that the towering forward could be back before the season finishes.

Carroll is just about as injury-prone a player as West Ham have had in recent years, and quite a few supporters are past caring.
