Callum Wilson played a key role as West Ham United suffered a defeat at the weekend.

A number of West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to implore the Hammers hierarchy to do all they can to sign Callum Wilson after the striker got on the scoresheet against Manuel Pellegrini’s side at the weekend.
Amid all of the speculation surrounding Marko Arnautovic’s future at the London Stadium, Wilson’s situation has also become a talking point with the Daily Mirror reporting earlier this month that the Irons want the Bournemouth talisman.
Arnautovic was missing from the squad at the Vitality Stadium, but Wilson certainly made an impact – with a moment of brilliance that seemed to surprise absolutely no West Ham supporters whatsoever.
The 26-year-old scored a fantastic volley to take his Premier League tally for the season to 10 as the Cherries went on to hand the Hammers their first defeat of the year.

And there were plenty of fans on social media that were adamant that signing Wilson has to be one of Pellegrini’s priorities during the remaining days of the window.
The game also saw a staggering miss from Andy Carroll. And the contrasting fortunes of the two strikers on show convinced several Irons supporters that Wilson has to be on the radar.
