Angelo Ogbonna has committed his long-term future to West Ham United.

West Ham United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Angelo Ogbonna signing a new contract.

As announced on West Ham’s official website, Ogbonna has put pen to paper on a new five-year deal at the London club.

According to the new terms, the Italy international defender will remain at the London Stadium until 2022.

Ogbonna joined West Ham from Italian giants Juventus in the summer of 2015 and has played well when he has been fit.

The former Torino centre-back is one of the most important players in Slaven Bilic’s side, and the 29-year-old will be looking to play a key role for the Hammers during the 2016-17 campaign.

The Hammers endured a disappointing 2016-17 campaign, and the London club will be aiming to break into the top 10 of the Premier League next season.

West Ham fans seem to be pleased with Ogbonna signing a new contract and has taken to Twitter to give their reaction.
