West Ham fans have been reacting on Twitter after Adrian’s performance against Manchester City on Sunday, and many of the supporters have sent a clear message to David Moyes regarding the Spaniard.

The Hammers went into the game at the Etihad Stadium off the back of a disappointing 4-0 defeat away at Everton in midweek. And with City only dropping points on one occasion all season in the Premier League, it appeared that Pep Guardiola’s men could be in for a big win.

However, it was only an 83rd minute goal from David Silva which separated the two sides, after Nicolas Otamendi had cancelled out Angelo Ogbonna’s shock opener for the visitors.

Though the defender scored the Irons’ goal, it was arguably Adrian who was the away side’s best player on the night, making a number of stunning saves to keep Moyes’ side in the game until the latter stages.

The performance was particularly notable because it was the 30-year-old’s first top flight appearance of the season, with Joe Hart out of the side for the first time in the Premier League as he is on loan from City.

Hart has not enjoyed the best spell since arriving, and a number of fans were in no doubt that Adrian should keep his place for the Hammers’ next game, which comes at home to Chelsea on Saturday.
