West Ham fans react on Twitter to Adrian’s performance against Tottenham

West Ham United stunned everyone by beating their Premier League rivals Tottenham in the Carabao Cup after being 2-0 down.

West Ham fans are, understandably, jubilant on Twitter after their sensational Carabao Cup win over Tottenham at Wembley, and many of the Irons supporters have been heaping praise upon Adrian.

Slaven Bilic went into the game under a significant amount of pressure, with the 3-0 defeat to Brighton last week leaving his future seemingly up in the air – and his side could not have made a worse start for him.

Spurs took a 2-0 lead into the break, and few would have thought that there was any way back for the Hammers, or perhaps any way back for Bilic – but his side produced a stunning turnaround to bag a dramatic win.

While a number of the players have been praised on social media, Adrian appears to have received a significant amount of credit from the supporters after making a couple of fantastic saves in what was his first appearance for over a month.

The Spaniard has been second choice to Joe Hart and is still awaiting his first Premier League appearance of the season, having had to wait for the cup games for opportunities between the sticks.

But with Hart looking unconvincing and Adrian shining at Wembley – and endearing himself to supporters by running the length of the pitch to celebrate the third goal – many of the fans have been left in absolutely no doubt who they would prefer to see get the nod for the Irons’ crucial Premier League clash with Crystal Palace at the weekend.
