West Ham United fans had high hopes for the 2019/20 campaign. Manuel Pellegrini was given the players he wanted to help the club break into the top seven but the Chilean barely lasted half the season.

David Moyes was brought in to steady the ship. The Hammers struggled under the former Everton and Manchester United boss and at one point, looked destined to drop down to the Championship.

However, Moyes and co delivered when it mattered and West Ham get to have another crack at a top half finish in the Premier League.

Moyes needs to get his squad right from the get go. He needs to get rid of the players he wants out while keeping the ones who can help take his side to the next level.

One player he needs to build the side around is Pablo Fornals. The Spaniard, signed by Pellegrini from Villareal for £24 million (BBC) last summer, had a tough start to life in the Premier League.

However, he ended the campaign brightly and showed that he has what it takes to perform at the highest level. Those good performances at the end of last season has caught the attention of a few clubs.

Serie A side Napoli have reportedly tabled a bid for Fornals with the Express claiming that the Hammers are weighing up the offer.

That has alerted West Ham fans who think that any offer for their star Spaniard should be rejected. Fornals has a lot to offer for the Hammers and now that he has settled in well, we could potentially see his best next season.

West Ham fans took to social media to urge Moyes not to sell Fornals this summer.

Here’s how a few of them reacted on Twitter
