West Ham are said to have made an eight-figure offer for Juve midfielder Stefano Sturaro.

West Ham United have reportedly made a bid for Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro as Manuel Pellegrini steps up his recruitment drive this summer – but fans are not happy.
Italian outlet Tuttosport claim West Ham have tabled a fee of £17.5million for the four-time Italy international, just days after it had been reported that Newcastle had made a bid of their own.

TuttoMercatoWeb state that Newcastle offered just £11.4million – well below the figure that West Ham have promised to give Juventus if a deal goes through. In the latter report, it is claimed Juve’s asking price is what West Ham have offered.

Sturaro is likely to want to leave Juve this summer after failing to be given much of a run out under Massimiliano Allegri. Indeed, the breakthrough of Rodrigo Bentancur has halted Sturaro’s path into the starting eleven.
The former Genoa midfielder does still have three years remaining on his Juventus contract and Allegri may want to keep Sturaro after impressing on the right side of defence.
West Ham fans reacted on Twitter to the news that Pellegrini had bid for Sturaro in despair, with many urging the club to ignore the midfielder and spend elsewhere. One fan would rather Nice’s playmaker Jean Seri.
