Jovetic has hardly featured for Monaco this season and West Ham could profit.

West Ham United are reportedly keeping tabs on AS Monaco striker Stevan Jovetic ahead of Thursday’s 11pm deadline, if the club cannot sign Michy Batshuayi – and Hammers fans are excited by a potential deal.
The Guardian have claimed on their live deadline-day blog (Thursday, 11:52) that West Ham may finally bring a striker to the club in the form of the ex-Manchester City star.
A one-time Premier League winner, 29-year-old Jovetic impressed during his time at Manchester City under current Hammers boss Pellegrini. He played alongside Pablo Zabaleta and Samir Nasri at the Etihad.
He scored 11 goals in 44 games, as well as laying on six assists for City – offering cover out wide, in the 10 role and even up front. The Hammers are likely to use Jovetic up front, if he signs.

The Hammers have been after Celta Vigo’s Maxi Gomez, but the Guardian report claims that there has been no movement over the signing of the Uruguay international. He has a contract at Monaco until the summer of 2021.
West Ham fans reacted to the news that their club could complete the signing of 50-time Montenegro international Jovetic before Thursday’s deadline, and the majority are excited at the prospect.
