West Ham defender Reece Oxford has spent the first half of the 2017-18 season on loan with Borussia Monchengladbach.

West Ham United defender Reece Oxford will return to the London Stadium in January from his season-long loan at Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach – but West Ham fans are undecided over whether he will play or be sold.
The east Londoners confirmed on their official website that the 19-year-old would rejoin the club after David Moyes was quoted as saying in his Friday press conference: “He will come back. We will take a look at him and see how he is.”
However, BBC Sport reported on Thursday evening that the teenage defender could be sold to Bundesliga side RedBull Leipzig in January, in which he would have to be recalled first.

The report states that Leipzig would pay West Ham £8million up front to sign the England youth international, with a fee eventually rising to almost £17million.
West Ham already boast an abundance of players at centre-back, with the rise of Declan Rice adding to Moyes’ options in Winston Reid, Angelo Ogbonna, Jose Fonte and James Collins.
But West Ham fans are desperate to see Oxford given a chance, while other are concerned that the BBC’s report has been substantiated following his January recall by the Hammers.
