The West Ham United youngster is currently away on loan and impressed in last night’s EFL Trophy win.

A number of West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter to praise Hammers youngster Aji Alese for picking up the Man of the Match award in his side’s EFL Trophy clash yesterday.
The 18-year-old London Stadium academy graduate played in defence as Accrington Stanley ran out 5-2 winners over Liverpool Under-21s at the Wham Stadium.
Despite his side shipping two goals, Alese was in inspired form and also a threat in attack, forcing the ball over the line at one point, only for the referee to rule it out due to a foul on goalkeeper Ben Winterbottom.
The 6ft 4in centre-back shared an image of himself holding the MOTM champagne bottle and the in-picture caption “nice to get man of the match tonight”, to which some West Ham fans responded, congratulating him:
Elijah Dixon-Bonner gave a depleted Liverpool U21s side the lead at the Wham Stadium after eight minutes when he completed a well-worked counter-attack.
However, goals from Ross Sykes, Courtney Baker-Richardson, Dion Charles, Jordan Clark and Connor Simpson saw the League One outfit claim victory.
