Supporters have picked their top-performing Hammer from the 2-1 win at the Hawthorns last night.
West Ham United fans have voted goalkeeper Adrian man of the match on Twitter after their side’s 2-1 win at West Brom last night.
Adrian beat competition from the likes of goalscorers Kevin Nolan and James Tomkins as the 27-year-old Spaniard helped guide his side to yet another impressive result.
The Hammers trailed at West Brom but dug deep to secure three further points, keeping them fifth in the Premier League, just three points off second-placed Manchester City (who are due to play later tonight).
| Position | Team | Saves | Punches | Crosses Claimed | Minutes Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Robert Green | GK | QPR | 5 | 1 | 1 | 90 |
| Brad Guzan | GK | Aston Villa | 5 | 0 | 2 | 90 |
| Adrián | GK | West Ham | 4 | 3 | 0 | 90 |
| Ben Foster | GK | West Brom | 4 | 1 | 2 | 90 |
And, as Opta stats show, Adrian’s contribution was certainly noteworthy, with the shot stopper the joint third-busiest goalkeeper in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
Indeed, only Robert Green and Brad Guzan made more saves than Adrian (and only one more), while opposite number Ben Foster of West Brom also made four saves.
The 27-year-old did make more punches, however, although claimed less crosses.
So far this season, Adrian has been a crucial part of West Ham’s success and it is little wonder fans rate him so highly.
