West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Jose Mourinho’s presence at Austria’s international friendly against Russia last night.

West Ham United star Marko Arnautovic emerged as a surprise target for Manchester United yesterday, with the Hammers asserting that any move for their top scorer would be in excess of £50 million, according to Sky Sports, but recent evidence suggests Mourinho is not deterred by the numbers.
United are looking to bolster their attacking options ahead of next season, after an underwhelming title challenge in which they finished 19 points behind rivals Manchester City, and the 29-year-old looks to be high on the wish-list having played under Mourinho at Inter Milan in 2008.
The Portuguese manager was spotted attempting to keep a low profile, wearing a baseball cap at the Tivoli Stadium in Germany, and watched Arnautovic provide the pivotal moment in securing the 1-0 win (Daily Mail), teeing up Alessandro Schopf to score the winner shortly before the half-time break.
Hammers fans were understandably anxious after seeing the photos emerge, and took to Twitter to give their take on the situation:
There are suggestions the manager may have been scouting players on the losing side, in Aleksandr Golovin and Fedor Smolov, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, but his interest in the West Ham star will only have grown after watching his vital impact in Austria’s win.
