West Ham United have sacked Slaven Bilic this morning.
West Ham United are now searching for a new manager after confirming the departure of Slaven Bilic earlier today.
The Hammers were beaten 4-1 at home by Liverpool on Saturday evening in what was a torrid display, with Bilic’s men again leaking goals at the back.
The recent comeback win against Spurs in the Carabao Cup was nothing more than a false dawn for West Ham, and Bilic has paid the price with his job.
After more than two years in charge, Bilic has been relieved of his duties, and the Hammers are now searching for a new manager, possibly in a short-term move until the end of the season.
West Ham already appear to be closing in on a successor though, as The Guardian report that ex-Everton, Manchester United and Sunderland boss David Moyes will be brought in as his replacement.
Having suffered relegation with Sunderland last season, news of Moyes’ imminent arrival at the London Stadium hasn’t gone down too well amongst West Ham fans, who seemingly wanted somebody else.
Fans have taken to Twitter to send messages to co-owner David Gold, begging him not to appoint Moyes and instead move for Dutch boss Ronald Koeman, who is also out of work.
The 54-year-old lost his job as Everton boss last month, but enjoyed a superb spell with Southampton and showed promise with Everton last term, leading many Hammers fans to believe that he is the man for the job, not Moyes.
