Some West Ham United fans on Twitter are mocking Carlos Sanchez, even though it’s his birthday.

The Colombia midfielder turned 33 on Wednesday and West Ham’s official Twitter account wished him a Happy Birthday on the social networking site.

Sanchez, who joined the Irons from Fiorentina last summer, hasn’t played since September due to injury.

West Ham have been dreadfully unlucky with some of their summer signings.

Not only is Sanchez crocked, but Jack Wilshere, also a midfielder, is having a terrible first season in East London after repeated ankle problems, with the former Arsenal star only playing five minutes of football since September 1.

Considering Pedro Obiang has struggled all season with form rather than fitness, it does make you wonder how good Pellegrini’s side could have been with a little less bad luck in the injury department.
