West Ham United fans have hit back at claims from co-owner David Gold on Twitter over problems at the club.

The Hammers made it back-to-back wins for the first time at their new London Stadium home on Saturday with a 1-0 victory over fellow strugglers Hull City.

It followed a win over Burnley by the same slender scoreline on Wednesday night to lift Slaven Bilic’s side up to 13th in the Premier League table.

Those victories came off the back of a hard earned point against Liverpool at Anfield the week before.

Despite the improved form, West Ham fans have been underwhelmed by the manner in which it has been achieved with performances still woefully short of the expected level.

Many believe the points were more the result of luck with two dubious penalties proving the difference.

The East Londoners have had just as many problems off the pitch this season too with fighting, stewarding, policing and supporters generally being unhappy with their new surroundings just a few of the issues.

Co-owner David Gold feels the results show the club has turned a corner.

But Hammers fans were quick to hit back at his post on Twitter pointing out they expect much more.

“Slowly but surely the problems are being solved, 7 points from 3 games helps,” Gold said on Twitter.

“Well done lads, keep up the good work.”

Gold must think more carefully before he tweets even if fans generally prefer to hear from their owners than not much of the time.
