West Ham United fans were desperate to see some new signings yesterday.

West Ham failed to bring in any new players on transfer deadline day, and Hammers fans took to Twitter to vent their frustrations.

The east London outfit brought in Samir Nasri on a free transfer early last month, and also added young Portuguese forward Mesaque Dju to the squad, but the West Ham fans wanted a lot more.

The Hammers currently sit in 12th spot in the Premier League table, four points adrift of seventh placed Wolves, but having failed to strengthen, Manuel Pellegrini will really have his work cut-out, if he is to guide his side to a Europa League spot come the end of the season.

It could be argued that West Ham actually needed to strengthen in every area of the pitch, but alas, Pellegrini will have to make do with what he already has at his disposal.
