Controversial character Ravel Morrison is set to rejoin Italian giants Lazio after his loan with Mexican top-tier side Atlas came to an end – and West Ham fans have discussed luring him back to east London on Twitter.

Morrison, 25, was released by the Hammers back in 2015 after failing to make the grade under Sam Allardyce, who told Sky Sports that: “He was the biggest waste of talent I ever worked with.”

Released in February 2015, Serie A side Lazio were seemingly willing to give England youth international a chance, and agreed a four-year deal with the former Manchester United academy product.

But he has made just four senior appearances for Lazio and was loaned to Atlas at the start of the season, where he has impressed – making 21 appearances in all competitions and scoring two goals.

Now, Morrison is expected to return to Lazio, with a year still left to run on his contract. But Morrison has almost no chance of breaking into the Italians’ first team, and he must look for a move this summer.

That has led to Hammers fans discussing whether their club would bring back the fleet-footed playmaker, who scored five goals in 24 appearances during his time in east London.
