Marko Arnautovic scored 11 league goals for West Ham this season, but some fans did not feeling like celebrating that stat.

West Ham United’s attempts to highlight Marko Arnautovic’s goal-scoring feats this season have backfired somewhat.
Arnautovic, who arrived at the London Stadium from Stoke City for a club record fee last summer, celebrated scoring his 11th Premier League goal of the season in Sunday’s season-closing victory over Everton. His 63rd minute strike saw him become the Hammers’ most prolific goal scorer in the league for 11 years, with Bobby Zamora the last man to hit that tally back in the 2006-07 season.
The celebratory message did not quite have the desired effect, however, with many fans deriding the club’s often woeful record with strikers.

Others meanwhile were left to wonder what that number might have been had Javier Hernandez been afforded more game time up front. The former Manchester United striker started 16 times for the Hammers in his first season back in England, hitting the back of the net eight times after failing to hold down a regular role under David Moyes.
Hernandez is already considering the possibility of leaving West Ham after just one season, according to a recent report from ESPN.
