West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud this summer.
Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud
West Ham fans have been taking to Twitter to express their delight at the report coming out of the Daily Mirror over the weekend which suggested that Olivier Giroud was on their radar this summer.
Giroud’s future at Arsenal appears to be somewhat in the air, with the Mirror reporting that he is not willing to predominantly sit on the bench for the Gunners next season but may face the prospect of doing so if Arsene Wenger manages to land either of his marquee targets, Kylian Mbappe or Alexandre Lacazette.

West Ham are ready to try and hand Giroud the chance to move away this summer, and the Mirror reports that they are prepared to match any bid that comes in from elsewhere for the 30-year-old.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the news that Giroud is on the Hammers’ radar has gone down extremely well with their fans on social media, after Slaven Bilic’s men endured an extremely frustrating season.

West Ham’s leading goalscorer in the Premier League finished the campaign with just nine goals to his name, while Andy Carroll finished as their highest-scoring striker with seven goals.
Giroud meanwhile, has reached double figures for league goals in every season he has played for Arsenal, including during the most recent campaign when he started just 11 times but still managed to score 12 goals in 29 appearances in total.

And that form has predominantly left West Ham fans extremely excited about the thought of signing the Frenchman.
