West Ham have been after a central midfielder since David Moyes took over at the club, failing to lure the likes of Tom Cairney, Leander Dendoncker and Jonjo Shelvey to the London Stadium during the January transfer window.
With Pedro Obiang injured, it has seen the Hammers forced to make do with only Mark Noble, Cheikhou Kouyate and Edimilson Fernandes in the middle of the park. Youngster Josh Cullen has even appeared on the bench.
Hammers fans were asked whether they would want to sign former Manchester City star Mooy in the summer if Huddersfield go down, and the majority liked the idea of signing the ball-playing midfielder.
