Sam Byram has had to wait patiently for his chance at West Ham this season.

Sam Byram was one of West Ham’s stand-out performers during their miraculous comeback against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night, and now fans want him to start against Crystal Palace.
The 24-year-old came in for summer signing Pablo Zabaleta to face Spurs in the Carabao Cup tie, and impressed as a brace from Andre Ayew and a Angelo Ogbonna header sent West Ham into the quarter finals.

The former Leeds United right-back has failed to feature in any of West Ham’s Premier League matches but has played every minute of the Hammers’ EFL Cup run, with Zabaleta considered first choice.
But now Byram could retain his place against Roy Hodgson’s Palace on Saturday as the Hammers look to use the win against London rivals Spurs to generate some momentum.

Three points for the east Londoners would see them jump right up the Premier League table into 13th place, if West Brom, Leicester City and Swansea City all drop points.
West Ham fans took to Twitter in an attempt to convince manager Slaven Bilic that the flying wing-back needed to start on Saturday, but are undecided on whether Byram should replace Zabaleta or play in front of him as part of a 3-5-2 system.
