Declan Rice has reportedly rejected West Ham’s small increase of a pay rise.

West Ham United defender Declan Rice has reportedly rejected the Hammers’ offer of a new deal to extend his stay at the London Stadium after an excellent 2017-18 campaign – and fans have taken aim at the board, once again.
Rice, 19, has been one of the Hammers’ stand-out performers throughout last season, as he broke into the side under Slaven Bilic and became a mainstay under David Moyes – starting the club’s last eight league games.

The Daily Mail claim the West Ham board have offered Rice £8,000 a week, much more than his current £3,000-a-week contract. But considering that is “just a fraction” of new signing Ryan Fredericks’ contract, Rice has rejected the offer.
Rice is said to be frustrated at the offer, believing he deserves a lot more following his performances last season and it has now put his future at the London Stadium in doubt ahead of the summer transfer window.

The former Chelsea trainee only has a year left on his current contract, and fans have lambasted the board for failing to offer the defender a much bigger deal.
One fan described the board, which comprises of co-owners David Gold, David Sullivan and Karren Brady as “despicable”, while another considered taking some of Brady’s wages and giving it to Rice.
