West Ham United are signing Emerson Palmieri with the Chelsea left back set for the first part of his Hammers medical today.
Three defeats to start the season is far from ideal for West Ham, who have been beaten by Manchester City, Nottingham Forest and Brighton and Hove Albion.
West Ham haven’t even scored a goal this season and David Moyes is clearly very worried about his side.
Moyes has been pushing for new recruits and after signing Thilo Kehrer from Paris Saint-Germain, another defender appears to be heading for East London.

Fabrizio Romano reports that West Ham are on the verge of signing Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri.
Romano claims that a fee has now been agreed, with West Ham paying £13million plus £2million in add-ons for the Italian international.
Romano adds that personal terms have been agreed and Emerson will undergo the first part of his medical later today.
This is a real turnaround for West Ham given that reports last week suggested that the deal was off.
West Ham were seemingly put off by Emerson’s wage demands and were looking elsewhere but the deal has been resurrected.
Barring any other late issues, it looks like West Ham will finally land their man and give Moyes an important addition.
Aaron Cresswell has been a great servant to West Ham but does need competition at left back, which has gone with Arthur Masuaku’s departure.
Other names have been linked with moves to the London Stadium but West Ham have been persistent with their chase of Emerson.
The 28-year-old has spent four-and-a-half years with Chelsea having joined the club from Roma back in 2018.
First-team football has been hard to come by though and Emerson spent the second half of last season on loan at Lyon.
Now ready for a permanent move away despite being hailed as ‘unbelievable’ by Thomas Tuchel, Emerson will be making the short move from the west of the capital to the east.
