Could West Ham United turn to the out-of-favour Liverpool man as Joe Hart’s replacement?

Simon Mignolet of Liverpool looks on during a training session on April 9, 2018 in Liverpool, England.

West Ham United have emerged as favourites to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet with Paddy Power.

West Ham are 11/2 for the Belgian’s signature, ahead of Celtic (6/1), Newcastle United (15/2) and Napoli (9/1).

The Hammers have seen Joe Hart return to Manchester City at the end of his loan spell, while the future of second-choice shot-stopper Adrian San Miguel is said to be uncertain.

Mignolet, meanwhile, has been out of favour at Liverpool for much of 2018, and could fall further down the Anfield pecking order if a new goalkeeper arrives, as expected, this summer.

The 30-year-old has a contract until 2021 on Merseyside, although Liverpool are unlikely to stand in his way should an offer arrive, providing they can secure a replacement.
