West Ham United head into their game against Chelsea on the back of two successive league wins.
West Ham United’s Angelo Ogbonna
Hammers defender Angelo Ogbonna has explained how his side must deal with the threat posed by Chelsea’s Diego Costa on Wednesday night, highlighting how they know his game very well, as quoted by the Mirror.
The Blues head to the Olympic Stadium to take on West Ham in the 4th round of the EFL cup on Wednesday, in a game that is expected to be fiery both on and off the pitch.
The Hammers will be buoyed by back-to-back Premier League wins, and a good run in the EFL Cup would go a long way to lifting the feeling of dread and doom that was beginning to envelop the club’s new stadium.

Ogbonna, 28, spoke to the Mirror in the build up to his side’s huge game against the Blues, and explained how Slaven Bilic’s men plan to nullify Costa’s threat:
“We know Costa. Every time we play him we have to be careful. Sometimes if we do something as defenders, it’s bigger than it is if a striker does it. A striker can do whatever he wants. A defender has to be careful, maybe clever. This is the game. I think whoever is more clever can win. We’ve played him already. Everybody knows Costa. He has a high behaviour. On the pitch he tries to make something to change the game.”
Chelsea’s Eden Hazard celebrates scoring their third goal with Diego Costa
Despite his struggles under Jose Mourinho last term, the Spain international has returned to his aggressive, dominant best this season, with seven goals in nine Premier League outings.
If West Ham are to have any chance on Wednesday night, they must keep the fiery Chelsea man quiet, that’s for sure.
