The West Ham United defender could leave on a temporary basis this month.
West Ham United defender Vashon Neufville has revealed that he is looking to leave the club on loan this month.
The talented young left-back was on the bench for West Ham’s goalless draw away to Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup earlier this month but accepts that first-team opportunities are likely to be limited this season.
Neufville told the club’s official website: “I want to get some senior experience this season, that’s the aim for the second half of the campaign.
“Hopefully I can get out on loan somewhere this month and play some League football. That’s the aim but we’ll wait and see.”
Several League One clubs are monitoring Neufville’s situation, with Bradford City, Doncaster Rovers and Northampton Town all interested in taking him on loan, as reported by the Daily Mail.
The 18-year-old has developed well at West Ham since he joined the club from Chelsea in 2012 and will hope to eventually make the breakthrough at London Stadium.
Neufville, who often provides an attacking threat from left-back, has featured frequently for West Ham’s U23 side in Premier League 2 this season, while he has also been involved in the EFL Trophy, but he is now determined to prove himself on the senior stage.
Arthur Masuaku is currently established as West Ham’s first-choice left wing-back having produced some excellent performances so far this season, but Neufville will hope that in due course he will be able to challenge for a place in the side.
