West Ham United face another tough challenge on Sunday, away at third placed Liverpool.
During an interview with the club’s official website, Hammers defender Alvaro Arbeloa has explained how his side will take confidence from the way in which Bournemouth got at Liverpool during their 4-3 win over the Reds on Sunday, as they prepare to face Jürgen Klopp’s men at Anfield this weekend.
Slaven Bilic’s men have been beyond woeful so far this season, with a succession of displays totally bereft of any kind of passion or commitment to the cause, which have subsequently lead to them falling to 17th position in the Premier League table.

Arbeloa himself hasn’t played much part in West Ham’s tumultuous campaign, with just one league start to his name so far this season.
But the Spaniard is likely to be presented with more chances of regular first-team football in the wake of a defensive injury crisis at the club, and Arbeloa spoke to whufc.com ahead of his side’s trip to Anfield on Sunday, talking up their chances of success:

“It will not be easy but of course we can get a victory. They lost 4-3 against Bournemouth last weekend so it is possible. West Ham won at Anfield last season so there is no reason why we cannot do that again.”
Bilic’s men sit just one point clear of the relegation zone at the moment, and with 18th placed Hull City playing at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday, the Hammers face the genuine prospect of being inside the bottom three before their game kicks off on Sunday.
