West Ham United are one Premier League club who could turn to Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze if they miss out on Rennes’ Jeremy Doku.

According to The Independent, West Ham, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in Jeremy Doku and there is a belief that one of those sides could end up signing Eberechi Eze if they cannot land the former.

Whoever wins the race for Doku will have to pay a lot of money for his signature, with the same outlet stating that Rennes want £50m in order to sanction a sale.

While Eze could leave Palace this summer and join another Premier League side as a Doku alternative, one player who will be remaining at Selhurst Park is Michael Olise.

The France U21 international has put pen to paper on a new contract, ending Chelsea’s hopes of signing him.

Eberechi Eze would be an exciting signing for West Ham

Eze would be the kind of addition that would bring some real excitement to the London Stadium.

The attacking midfielder is a player who is really capable of dazzling and getting the better of defenders.

“Ebs’ quality is incredible, with what he does on the ball, the way he manipulates it and the way he just seems to glide over the pitch — it’s mesmerising at times,” his team-mate Joel Ward told Palace’s official website in May.

Eze, now an England international, is also starting to add goals to his game. In 38 Premier League appearances last season, he netted 10 times.

Ultimately, if David Moyes is looking to add a bit of creativity and flair to his squad this summer, then Eze is definitely someone he should be considering.

However, it seems that any move for the former Queens Park Rangers man hinges on whether Doku joins the Hammers or not.
