David Moyes’s West Ham United could make a bid for former Chelsea forward Timo Werner.
That is according to 90min, which has claimed a potential hurdle for West Ham in getting a deal done.
So, what is being reported about West Ham United and Timo Werner? Let’s take a look.
What’s the story?
Well, according to 90min, West Ham United are interested in signing Timo Werner from RB Leipzig in the January transfer window.
The report has claimed that West Ham could try to sign the former Chelsea forward in the middle of the season.
RB Leipzig themselves are open to offloading the forward. However, there is a hurdle for the Hammers.
90min has reported that West Ham’s London and Premier League rivals, Fulham and Crystal Palace, are also keen on Werner.
Both the Cottagers and the Eagles are interested in a loan deal for the forward, according to the report.
West Ham United should not sign Timo Werner
In my opinion, West Ham United should not try to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig in the January transfer window or in the summer of 2024.
I do not think that Werner will be a success at West Ham. The Hammers should look at signing a better striker.

The 27-year-old did not have the best of times at Chelsea. The £164,000-a-week (SalarySport) forward really struggled.
Werner made 56 appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea. The forward scored 10 goals and gave nine assists in those games.
Liverpool wanted to sign Werner before he joined Chelsea. The Reds will be pleased that they did not make that mistake.
Werner has made two starts and six substitute appearances in the Bundesliga this season. The forward has scored two goals in those games. The Germany international has also made three substitute appearances in the UEFA Champion League this campaign.
