Back in the summer, West Ham made an attempt to bring Napoli maestro Piotr Zielinski to the Premier League.
That was according to Tutto Mercato Web, who claimed that talks over a £38m deal had taken place, before the move failed to materialise.
Now, West Ham could have a golden chance to sign Zielinski in the summer of 2023.
Why West Ham could sign Piotr Zielinski
Well, according to CalcioNapoli24, Nikola Vlasic is a transfer target for Napoli.
The Croatia international – who is currently on loan at Torino – has started well in Italy since departing the London Stadium, scoring three goals in seven Serie A appearances.
In our view, West Ham could use that interest to leverage their hopes of signing Zielinski, possibly in a swap deal or a player-plus-cash move.

The 28-year-old, who has been likened to Kevin De Bruyne, will only have 12 months remaining on his contract with Napoli in the summer of 2023, so a deal is certainly possible.
So far this season, Zielinski has scored three goals while also providing four assists in nine appearances.
West Ham may only get £13m off Zielinski deal
If Napoli do agree to a player-plus-cash deal, West Ham may only be able to get a £13m reduction on Napoli’s £38m asking price.
Why? Well, according to the Daily Mail, West Ham have given Torino an option to buy Vlasic for just £13m when his loan ends in the summer, so the price is pretty much fixed.
No matter how well the Croatian does in Turin, his value is set at £13m due to the agreement between Torino and West Ham.
It is not an obligation to buy, so Napoli could still come in and tempt Vlasic to Naples.
If that does happen, West Ham simply must attempt to get Zielinski included in the deal.
