West Ham United have been waiting to find out when they will play their rearranged game against Manchester United.
West Ham have given themselves real hope of Premier League survival with Saturday’s crucial 3-0 home win over Southampton.
The Hammers turned in one of their best performances of the last two seasons to dominate their relegation rivals and jump up to 14th in the congested table.
The win gives David Moyes’ side a five point gap over the bottom three with seven games to go.
One of those matches is against Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United at the London Stadium, after the fixtured was postponed due to the Red Devils’ involvement in the FA Cup.
But as yet no date has been set for the fixture.
However according to popular West Ham Twitter ITK ExWHUEmployee, the game could now take place midweek in the final week of the season, three or four days before the last game of the season at home against Everton.
“It will be confirmed today but I heard it was likely to be the last Tuesday/Wednesday of the season before Everton,” ExWHUEmployee said on on Twitter.
That means Moyes’ side could face a crucial home double header to bring the curtain down on their season.
And if their display against the Saints is any indication of how the Hammers might perform at home for the rest of the season that can only be a good thing.
There will also be the added boost of playing under the lights, when West Ham fans are famous for generating an intimidating atmosphere.
